Silk Screen Printing Application for Thermochromic and Photochromic InksThese inks are water based and formulated to be used with silk screen clear for silk screen printing. A top coat or laminate is recommended to provide better adhesion and abrasion resistance. For screen printing onto textiles, we recommend using these inks with a binder and fixer. Ready-to use formulated flexographic, thermochromic, and photochromic inks are available upon request. Application ProcedureMix Ratio for paper and synthetic films

Screen PlatePolyester monofilament 100-120 mesh in bias cladding. Screen coating emulsion should be water resistant or water and oil resistant. SqueegeeShould be printed with a soft squeegee PrintingPrint using 100-120 mesh screen. Printing layer should be thick with high viscosity inks. Apply two cotes if necessary. Allow to dry. Apply top coat or laminate with transparent film, if desired General RemarksSome variation of ratios may be needed to achieve the desired final results. Do not expose thinners to extreme temperatures or open flame. White pigments are not compatible with the inks. Filter the mixed color base ink with 120 mesh filter prior to application. Inks tend to settle on storage. Stir ink before each application. To wash the screens, use water. If screens are clogged, xylene, or butyl acetate may be used. Color base coverage is approximately 35g/meter, based upon 120 mesh screen and one stroke. Pot life of mixed ink is about 24 hours. Shelf life, Storage, Safety, HandlingShelf life of unmixed ink is 6 months at 30 C. Ink and components should be stored in a cool, dark place. Do not inhale the ink fumes. Avoid skin contact.
